Not a very good welcome, dear June.

Just this morning, I received the news about Kim Kyu Jong enlisting in the army. At first, I was like, "Yeah oh cool. He's enlisting." The hype about idols enlisting doesn't really bother me. After all, just like any other Korean males reaching the 20's, it's mandatory that they enlist.

But it dawned upon me. Hey, it's Kyu Jong. IT'S KIM KYU JONG. He's the main reason why I adore Kpop nowadays! He was the first ever Kpop idol that I closely followed, despite numerous attempts of ignoring my fangirl feels, despite the judgment of everyone because yeah, Kpop was becoming mainstream. If it wasn't for this guy, I wouldn't be this appreciative of Korean culture.

So it continued to dawn upon me. He's the first SS501 member to enlist in the army, and it was his sole decision! As realization hit me, that, yes, Kyu will be away from the spotlight for two freaking years, I sarted tearing up. I'm not a very emotional person and I could care less about other idols enlisting but Kyu is a different case. He was known for being the most childish and sensitive among his group. Just thinking about this, I was like, "Will he be able to make it on his first few months in the army?" "Would he be alright in there, knowing how much of a crybaby he is?" "What would happen after 2 years of being absent in the industry?" Would he regain his career after his enlistment?" Things like that encircled my thoughts as I kept crying.

But then again, I thought, it was a natural thing tho do. He's not getting any younger now, and it's actually an advantage for him since he's starting young. By the time he goes out in 2014, he will be 27 (International age), that's 29 in Korean age. Not bad. Some idols like Shinhwa enlisted late so it was very hard to regain their careers after. One wonderful thing is that Kyu looks younger than his age. It's almost like he never ages, and his cheeks are still ful *insert some other cute things about Kyu lol* By the time he comes out, he'll look just like his age. Manlier version of Kyu, need I say more? ♥

Despite the advantages, I can't help being really sad about it. Damn. Why should there be these kind of stuffs in the Korean law? But of course, who am I to screw the system. They were just doing what they think is right, but then... Argh. Just thinking about not reading Kyu's tweets just kills me. I know, I know, I sound just like another obsessed fangirl, but who the hell cares? I love Kyu Jong.
